April 21, 2025: The Baltimore County Republican Central Committee decries Maryland Senator Van Hollen’s recent trip to El Salvador to visit Abrego Garcia

  • Focus on Abrego Garcia: The BCRCC considers Senator Van Hollen's attention on Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant accused of being a member of MS-13 and beating his wife, detracts from addressing issues affecting Maryland residents, such as public safety concerns. Senator Van Hollen totally and shamefully ignored visiting the mother, a Maryland resident, of Rachel Morin who was brutally tortured, raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant.
  • Use of taxpayer funds: Senator Van Hollen potentially used taxpayer money for his trip. The BCRCC believes these funds could have been better spent on other, more crucial, priorities.
  • Association with controversy: Senator Van Hollen’s trip represented Congressional meddling in other countries’ internal affairs, undermining national sovereignty and setting a dangerous precedent for foreign policy.
  • Supporting Leftist Agendas – Senator Van Hollen’s trip, given García’s ties to left-wing opposition movements, has legitimized socialist or anti-American factions under the guise of “democracy promotion.”
  • Hypocrisy on Human Rights – Senator Van Hollen and other Democrats selectively condemn right-leaning governments while ignoring human rights abuses in leftist regimes (e.g., Cuba, Venezuela).
  • Weakness on Immigration – Democrats prioritize foreign activists over securing the U.S. border.
  • Encouraging Asylum Fraud – By meeting with García (a figure who could later seek U.S. asylum), Van Hollen has incentivized illegal immigration through political grandstanding.
  • Anti-Trump Posturing – Democrats have attempted to undermine Trump-era policies that prioritized strong borders and non-interventionism unless it served U.S. strategic interests.

Only the Republican Party stands for your freedom and security.

Mar 26, 2025: Maryland Democrat leaders agree on state budget framework. A lot of bad news for Maryland citizens.

New taxes include a 3% tax on IT and data services to avoid increasing the broad sales tax rate. This tax on businesses, who rely on technology, would result in higher costs for customers and movement of businesses away from Maryland. Budget framework to move from House to Senate

February 12, 2025: MARYLAND’S LOOMING ELECTRICITY CRISIS

Maryland has a looming electricity crisis due to Annapolis Legislation in 2022 that:

  • Shuts down almost all Maryland Power Plants
  • Wind and Solar are providing only 4% of Maryland’s Electricity.
  • Prohibits Utility companies from operating electricity generating facilities in Maryland
  • Reduces the supply of cheap, clean Natural Gas in Maryland and prohibits the use of Natural Gas in new developments
  • Currently Maryland imports 40% of its electricity.
  • Maryland will be importing 70% of its electricity in 10 years.
  • Maryland will receive zero electricity from the new Transmission Lines scheduled to cross northern Maryland from Peach Bottom to power the new Data Center in Virginia.
  • 10% Empower Charge which has already been added to home electricity bills this year with more increases of over $400 planned for June 1, 2025 and then for each year after that.

PJM (Regional Transmission Organization) forecasts a SHORTAGE OF POWER for Maryland for 2026 and 2027.
