Republicans In The NewsNon-Partisan Rothenberg Political: Gov. Martin O'Malley's Re-Election "Not Safe"; Maryland GOP Chairman Audrey Scott RespondsFor Immediate Release Annapolis, Maryland (March 8, 2010) - "Governor O'Malley should be very concerned. Maryland voters are rejecting his agenda of high taxes, high spending and growing our state's government. On Friday, the non-partisan Rothenberg Political Report confirmed that by downgrading the Governor's race from "safe" to "narrow advantage" for the incumbent. Marylanders are hurting under the failed leadership of Governor O'Malley, who has proven to be only accountable to party bosses and big wigs, not Maryland families. The primary responsibility of an elected official is to listen to their constituency. Governor O'Malley is deaf to the cries and concerns of Maryland citizens who are hurting from his out-of-control fiscal policies. Since Governor O'Malley has taken office nearly 100,000 Marylanders have lost their jobs and unemployment has reached a 26 year high, clearly he is not listening to what the people of Maryland need."
